Piano
Born on January 2003 in Busan, South Korea, Minsung P started his first step of Piano journey at the age of 7. He learned under Vietnamese pianist Trang Trinh, since he moved to Vietnam in 2010. After about 6 years of study with her, as a new page of his journey he landed his next step on Manchester, United Kingdom in 2019, and he got accepted to study in Chetham’s School of Music for 2 years where he studied with professor Murray McLachlan. Minsung graduated from Chetham’s in 2021, and then he started study on Bachelor of Music degree in Royal Northern College of Music with Professor Murray McLachlan. On 2025, He successfully graduated from RNCM as completing study of Bachelor of Music degree with 1st class Honours. Now he started study of Master of Music degree under professor Graham Scott in Royal Northern College of Music.
He has a wealth of performance experience with numerous recitals in England. Further on, he also performed in countries outside of UK such as Vietnam, Poland, Italy and France. He had been taking part of the masterclasses and concert opportunity along with world-class concert pianists and professors including Sir Stephen Hough, Jean-Efflam Bavouzet, Philippe Cassard, Christopher Elton, Yury Shadrin Simon Callaghan and Kathryn Stott. In 2024, Minsung made a remarkable concerto debut with St. John’s Festival Orchestra on performing Rachmaninov’s 2nd Piano Concerto with conductor Adam Davies.
Minsung has been participating in various international piano competitions around the world. Since 2022, he started to be recognized internationally in earnest by winning the honourable diploma in II Krogulski International Piano Competition. A year later, He got selected as a Finalist in 2023 Watford International Piano Competition and at the same year he also won the 1st Prize in the 5th Spezzaferri International Music Prize which was held in Verona, Italy. In 2024 he won the 2nd prize in LOML International Piano Competition (Category B), and in following year he won the 2025 RNCM Piano Duo Prize with his current duo partner Tsukushi Mitsuda. On May 2025, he won the 3rd prize in RNCM Mark Ray Piano Recital Competition.
